61% of Americans do not want the health care bill; Washington knows this, yet insists on ignoring its constituents. Are they insane? Maybe. Are they delusional? Perhaps. So, on a Sunday night-Monday morning, literally in the dead of night when few were watching, the Senate passed the health care bill. It's likely they, the Democrats, are committing political suicide over this, but they seem perfectly willing to do so; to implement a policy relatively few of their constituents ac...

What's the definition of irony? Let me help: 1.)  At Fort Hood, a US Army Major - of Islamic heritage - killed 13 people, wounding dozens more, shouting "God is Great!" in Arabic, as he fired. He attended a mosque associated with radical Muslims; he'd expressed great admiration for Muslim suicide bombers. He even tried contacting al-Qaeda. Apparently, his activities were flagged for months by authorities, but it seems no one wanted to risk being accused of bigotry. ...

Here's the story: "Giant iceberg spotted south of Australia SYDNEY (AFP) – A monster iceberg has been spotted drifting towards Australia in what scientists Wednesday called a once-in-a-century event. Australian glaciologist Neal Young pinpointed the slab, which is some 19 kilometres (12 miles) long, about 1,700 kilometres south of the country, using satellite imagery . He said he was not aware of such a large iceberg being found in the area since the days when 19th century...

I’ve often heard and read of the supposed “Neocon agenda”; that ultra-secret plan of all us “crazy religious right-wing, wing nut” conservatives, to yoke the rest of the nation to our old-fashioned, “out-dated” ways and ideas. Well, even if that were true, would it really be so very bad? After all, those values made America the strongest and most powerful nation on Earth, in much less than 200 years of her history. Are conservative ideal...

Friends and Fellow Patriots; I may have come up with way to carry our protests through the Holidays and winter months, and have presented my idea to the members of my group, The American Patriot Council, Washington/Jefferson/Hancock Chapter, who have agreed to implement it. As we approach the Christmas Season, with its long-standing and beloved traditions of gift-giving and the sending of greeting cards, I propose the following: As many patriots as possible could send their Congressper...

I have been informed, many times, that my personal opinions and fears over the Obama Method of Government are just idiotic. That my views are meaningless, next to people from other nations, who may have a better persepective on the ways and means of his ideas of Change and Hope. The link will take you to a letter in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Its relatively short, but I found it rather illuminating.

I find it irritating how Democrats and liberal public figures regularly get away with their sleaziness and disregard for decorum; conservatives and Republicans, however, are castigated for every remotely questionable act. To the liberal mass-media, of course, this is “fairness”, and “objectivity”, and when we complain about it, we’re being disingenuous and/or just whining, because as we all know, there is NO media preference. However, if this ...

1.       We’re a big country. (That grows lots and lots of food, and makes lots and lots of medicines and emergeny supplies, all of which we frequently send to other countries, free of charge)   2.       We eat too much food and are the fattest country in the world.      (See above...how sad to live in such a successful nation, where obesity is considered a disease of the very poor) ...

As many of you probably know, the economic G20 Summit is being held in Pittsburgh, PA, this time. I live about a hour west of there. I understand that the ‘Burgh was something of a second-string city; Chicago and New York, among other cities, turned it down. I can see why; this thing is clearly more trouble than it’s worth, despite the positive assurances of Pittsburgh’s “Boy Mayor”, Luke Ravenstahl, that it would add to the prestige of the area. "I...

With the new media furor over the Swine Flu pandemic beginning its first stirrings, Kathleen Sebelius, Health and Human Services Czar (heh-heh), says that, if we must, we should sneeze or cough into the crooks of our arms. Eeew; now, I remember, when I was a kid, my mom used to yell at me for doing that; and for wiping snot on my sleeve, too, which isn't really all that much different, now is it? How about this: how about we all get radical, and start carrying hank...

God Bless America, folks....God Bless America. September 12th, 2009; Washington, DC. What a wonderful day. Our bus left Wheeling, WV at 4:20 AM, and arrived in DC around 10:30, I believe it was. So many patriots were there, already. Our group had a large WV state flag, carried to more easily facilitate our sticking together in the crowd, and we moved down the street to chants of "Let's go, Mountaineers!" which had a dual meaning; WVU, after all, was playing that day, too. The crowd was ...

One more falsehood from the Obama Cadre: “47 million are uninsured”; such ridiculously overblown statements seem a hallmark of this particular Democrat-controlled government. I guess their philosophy is, "the bigger the fish story, the more people will be inclined to believe it". Actually, though, it’s closer to 17 million, and some say even less than that. Many of those are younger, healthier people, simply opting out of health insurance for the present, orth...

Y'know....I'll admit, back around election time, I was scared of Obama. I dreaded what the country might become, with such a  leftist-liberal radical loon in the Oval Office and a majority party of Socilaist, liberal whackos in control of the House and Senate, as well. A party of people whose concerns have been shown to lie more with non-traditional, anti-American ideals and interests, than with advancing the cause of Americanism. It frightened me; it did. I fear...

From AOL News: "(July 28) -- Anyone who listens to National Public Radio is used to hearing funding credits -- brief mentions of people whose donations make the broadcaster's programming possible. In the past few weeks, NPR began airing one that credits the estate of a Richard Leroy Walters, "whose life was enriched by NPR, and whose bequest seeks to encourage others to discover public radio." Robert Siegel, host of NPR's 'All Things Considered,' was curious about the donor, so he searched t...

July 4 th , on a local TV news report, a gentleman expressed mild amusement with the large gathering  of “Tea Party” goers (about 2,000 people) assembled on the grounds at Wheeling, WV’s Wesbanco Arena, there protesting, among other things, out-of-control government spending . He thought “it was funny, because how many of them (here today) cashed their stimulus checks?” Well, I can say, honestly and proudly, that I was there that day, and t...
