What's the definition of irony? Let me help:
1.) At Fort Hood, a US Army Major - of Islamic heritage - killed 13 people, wounding dozens more, shouting "God is Great!" in Arabic, as he fired.
He attended a mosque associated with radical Muslims; he'd expressed great admiration for Muslim suicide bombers.
He even tried contacting al-Qaeda.
Apparently, his activities were flagged for months by authorities, but it seems no one wanted to risk being accused of bigotry.
The Obama Administration- headed by a "Christian" who avoids dining with Christian clergy, but warmly welcomes Muslims - downplays this glaring evidence, reluctant to view this obviously premeditated massacre as an incident of Islamic terrorism.
Democrat presidents have a long history of going easy on Islamic terrorism. Obama's no different - except, ironically, for being a closet Muslim, himself.
2.) Obama pledges to Americans that the new, "green" lifestyle is something we must do, to save the planet from humanity's terrible exesses and greenhouse gas pollutants (remember when they used to tell us, simply, to plant more trees?). That the jobs created to foster that lifestyle, "green jobs," will revitalize our economy.
Some one better tell that to Evergreen Solar, of Massachusetts, a producer of solar panels.
Evergreen took $58 million in state funds, to expand its operations, then sent half its production jobs to China.
How's that for ironic?
This decision is "evidence that the operation here (in the US) is not being cost competitive," said analyst Rob Stone.
Evergreen's in a price war with Chinese producers, as are other solar panel companies. Hell, let's make that any company, prodcucing anything.
Why do companies go overseas?
Perhaps we need more government intervention in the private sector; maybe tighter regulation would help. More, or higher, taxes?
Maybe the plant needs to be unionized; we all know how well unionization cuts costs and increases efficiency.
Those last couple sentences were sarcasm, for those liberals who may have gotten this far.
Wind power, touted as another alternative to Evil, carbon-producing fossil fuels, is another field with, seemingly, much green jobs potential.
Unfortunately, most of the components for the wind turbines, naturally, are produced overseas.
How long before more "green jobs" start heading east, strengthening the economy of China, the worst-polluting, least environmentally regulated nation in the industrialized world? More irony.
While we're discussing saving the environment, how about those incriminating e-mails, stolen by hackers, from the Climate Research Unit, at the University of East Anglia, in England?
The CRU is the "hub" of the climate debate; this is where it started; from where it all springs. As I understand, most climate researchers start their own studies, with data compiled there.
These thousands of e-mails, between US and British climatologists, detail years of skewed and omitted data, statistical trickery, cooked "evidence" and outright lies; even the destruction of information requested by skeptics.
All, to propagate the utter myth of man-made global warming/climate change.
Is the UN, and their lapdog liberal media, viewing this "smoking gun", crystal-clear evidence of massive, overwhelming fraud, with outrage? Are they pausing in their environmentalist fascism, much of which is based on the "fact" of global warming/climate change?
Certainly not; desperately, they soldier on, barely acknowledging it. Those in the government and media who aren't ignoring it are scrambling, lamely, to explain it away, often using the most Orwellian of methods.
One member of Congress called it "stolen e-mailgate", typically ignoring the broader implications and focusing on the methods. alone
Sometimes, however, the wrong thing is done for the right reasons. This was one of those times.
The New York Times calls it, simply, "more fuel for thediscussion." The UN bigwigs were utterly complicit in this, you understand; but then, they have a world government to construct, for which the US will be the main financier. The lie of "man-made climate crisis" is its foundation.
We conservative "Neanderthals" have always been skeptical, concerning global warming/climate change; the elitist liberal "intelligentsia" swallowed it whole.
Now, they can't bear to admit being fooled. Or maybe, they just won't.
How ironic.
