A place for me to pour out my rants without clogging the inboxes of my friends and family. Also a place to give info on myself and Mary, our family news and events.
I hope they show.

The turkey is thawing in the fridge, laying next to the ham and the veggies for the salad. Thanksgiving is at our house this year, the first time we've had it since 2001. We have a much bigger place this year, and have invited the whole family; every one of them. So, we bought big. 17-pound bird, 10-pound ham. Lots of potatoes and such....all ready for the big feast.
Now, the Weather Channel is telling us that 1-3 inches of snow just might be on the ground by Thanksgiving Day. We've already had 2 maybe-cancellations, contingent on weather and road conditions. Wonderful.

I like turkey, and I love ham, but for just the wife and I to eat them and everything else will mean a freezer full of leftovers. We're planning on cooking it all, too, just in case they show. I hope they do.

We ended up with 6 people, counting us......and a pile of leftovers.+LOL+
We did manage to unload some pie, though. We went to the movies that night with some friends and saw "Yours Mine, and Ours"...it wasn't bad.
Anyway, had them all back to our house for pie afterward.
