And thus, does the Quest continue; Hawaii’s brand-spankin’-new governor, Democrat Neil Abercrombie, pledged to bring a swift and decisive end to the stale, virtually-abandoned Obama birth certificate debate.
He dredged it back up for purely political reasons, fearing the issue may somehow affect Obama’s chances in 2012, saying that it could present "political implications that we simply cannot have.”
I can’t see how; after all, he was elected, without it, in 2008; something which, if it had happened in the other direction, would still be bringing unending howls of sputtering, outraged protest from the Left. It's okay for their guy, though.
But anyway, Abercrombie intended to bring an end to all the irksome naysaying of those who doubted Obama’s eligibility.
To this end, he was going to produce, at long last, the actual, official birth certificate of Barack Obama; the one generated by the hospital, upon his birth.
Only one problem: as I write this, Governor Abercrombie can’t find it, either.
An apparently exhaustive search of the Hawaii Department of Health records, and the records of the two possible Honolulu hospitals in question, Queens and Kapiolani Medical Centers (and let me just ask--is there anyone out there who doesn't know for certain, which hospital they were born in? Just sayin') has, shockingly, failed to produce the document.
Remember, upon Obama’s visit to his “home state” in October 2008, Hawaii’s then-governor, Republican Linda Lingle, sealed his records; all of them.
What we have seen from Obama, is a clearly recently-produced “Certification of Live Birth”, circulated in mid-2008, “verified” by decidedly liberal-leaning websites Snopes.com and FactCheck.org, and thusly hailed by those on the Left as the Real Deal. However, the Hawaii Department of Health, itself, has declined to verify the document; so, around it goes.
We’ve also seen photocopied Honolulu newspaper birth announcements, flaunted as irrefutable proof, by Obama supporters. However, it has been speculated—although it does seem unlikely--that his proud grandparents, Stanley and Madelyn Dunham, could have simply made an “in-person report” of his birth and presence in-state, even if he had been foreign-born. This form of documentation could, conceivably, have generated both the newspaper announcements and later, the Certificate of Live Birth--but not an official birth certificate.
The proud grandparents....of a grandson born to their America-hating, Comm-symp, leftwing revolutionary daughter--who left Hawaii three weeks after baby Barry's reported birth, to attend college in Seattle--and an absentee, alcoholic, deadbeat dad--who never paid so much as a dime in child support, and also left Hawaii not long after his son's birth, to attend Harvard--of American-hating, revolutionary, Comm-symp ideals.
Who wouldn't be proud, right?
For his part, I doubt Obama really much cares about the issue. He knows the truth, and that he’s probably out in 2013.
Nonetheless, he got in; the damage is done.
In the future, however, We, the People need to be vigilant. Once a thing happens--once the door is opened--it tends to become commonplace; we need to insist upon fealty to Constitutional strictures. If one lacks the proper, official documents, one doesn’t run for President. Period.
It’s not that hard. Like immigration law, it’s already on the books; all we have to do is insist upon its enforcement.
Abercrombie is likely--or should be—now questioning certain things about his Beloved Leader. However, being a liberal Democrat, he is therefore unphased by reality.
He remains confident, buoyed by vague, unconfirmed assurances that someone, sometime, somewhere, recorded Obama’s birth, and stuck it someplace in the archives. Assumedly, the search will continue.
It’s there! It just has to be!
Doesn’t it?
