A place for me to pour out my rants without clogging the inboxes of my friends and family. Also a place to give info on myself and Mary, our family news and events.

In random order...whoever came to mind at the moment. Most are self-explanatory. Some aren't. Ask if you don't get it.

1. Col Gene----"Enemy of the State" (or maybe "Groundhog Day", 'cause it's always the same thing, over and over and over.....)

2. Dr. Guy----This was easy..."Trekkies".

3. Myrrander----"Huff" (okay, "Huff" is a TV show on HBO, I think....or Showtime, maybe, but it was too good a shot not to take.) Maybe "Red Dragon"? "Red Dawn"?

4. Reiki-House----"LOTR: The Two Towers", or maybe "Holocaust". Perhaps "Triumph of the Will"? (for neophytes, R-H was our resident 9/11 conspiracy theorist, as well as a Nazi apologist and Holocaust revisionist. Anyone remember the "pool" at Auschwitz?)

5. Rightwinger----"The Man Who Knew Too Little", maybe "Revenge of the Nerds".

6. Tex W.---- "Blue Hawaii"

7. Shadowar----"The War Wagon", "Sgt. York"

8. Gerlyn Valembrun----"Chicken Run"

9. Little Whip (and her Emperor)----"The Wild Bunch", "Bonnie and Clyde"

10. Moderate Man----"Revenge of the Sith"

11. Marvin Cooley----"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest"

12. Draginol----"Wargames"

13. Bakerstreet----"The Punisher"

14. Kingbee----"Pride and Predudice"

15. Dabe----"Yentl"

16. Gideon Macleish----"The Family Man"

17. drmiler----"Flashdance" (it's a 'Burgh thing), or maybe even "Smokey and the Bandit"

18. Dharmagirl----"Little Buddha"

19. cactoblasta----"Quigley Down Under", or "The Adventures of Pricilla, Queen of the Desert"

20. Bahu Virupaksha----"The Phantom Empire" or "The Phantom Menace". Either would do as well.

No insults intended. All in good fun.

Uma Thurman in "Kill Bill"!

Just the greatest action heroine in the history of film! I watched Kill Bill Vol. 2 this afternoon . . . what splendid, luscious filmmaking.

I've built all my computers from my original XT to the PIII I'm still running. And yes it has a 1.44 although I haven't used it in a loooooong time. I "try" to reuse parts when I can. At least the zip is a 250. Although I have 2 of the 100's and an external parallel port one laying around somewhere.

You could probably turn around and sell those to antique collectors on e-bay for buko bucks! Next time Antiques Roadshow is in the area, you should take them on by!

Dr. Guy: Here's a little of one I started a while back, but have yet to finish.

C. Ray and the Chocolate City

The newscaster stared firmly into the camera, his voice level and serious.
“This just in,” he said. “Mysterious New Orleans mayor, C. Ray Nagin, is offering a personally-guided tour of his city to four lucky people, to be chosen completely by random chance.” He turned to face another camera.
“Somewhere out there, in this great land of ours, are four Golden Teeth, each contained in a box of ‘Auntie --that’s pronounced ‘awnt-y’-- Latrice’s Superior Soul Food Spices’, Nagin’s personal favorite.” He held up a box of the seasonings for the camera. “Auntie Latrice’s…ask for it by name.” Putting the box to one side, he looked back to the camera.
“The finders of each of these Gold Teeth are to meet with Nagin at 10:00 AM---sharp---on May 1st, for their tour. They will present their Teeth then, in exchange for the tour.”

Saturday, May 1st, 2006, New Orleans, LA.
1047AM
The four lucky winners, Kanye West, Rev. Al Sharpton, Snoop Dogg and Rep. Cynthia Mckinney, stood uncomfortably on the dirty, cluttered sidewalk amid a mostly disinterested crowd of drug dealers and buyers, drag queens and bedraggled homeless persons. One of these hobbled over to McKinney and asked for some spare change, only to be rebuffed with a harsh “I’m a Congresswoman! Leave me! Get on Welfare like everybody else, freak!” She then hit him in the chest with a closed fist.
With growing impatience, they awaited the arrival of the mysterious, renowned C. Ray Nagin, the city’s besieged Mayor.
At 10:58, a stretch limousine drew up along the curb in front of the small group.

No reply, Doc? C. Ray not to your liking?

Anyway, I've decided to rethink Kingbee's movie title. It's no longer "Pride and Predjudice", though he has enough, in his own way, of both. No, I've decided to go with:

"THE JERK"

Why? Because it's just so......him.

It's one of the few chick flicks I really enjoy. I have it and the soundtrack, both. When I bought them, it made my wife question my heterosexuality.+LOL+

Hehe. That's one that I got away with ... My wife is a music nut, so picking up the soundtrack and video (multiple times, even) could be passed off as trying to appease her ... and the musically inclined kids.

Let's see ... as for movies of people ... I'll have to get back to you ... Oh, Draginol would definitely be Office Space.

Just saw this RW! Sorry I was late responding. You got a good start, and I see a lot of potential here! I hope you continue!
