Can I write?

I want honest answers here, please.....no kidding around....

Okay folks, I'm putting my fate, or at least a portion of it, in your hands.

I'm thinking of trying my hand at writing a novel. Problem is, I'm not so sure of my talents in that particular arena.
So, I'm asking for opinions....from all of you.

Can I write?

I'm talking about my ability to convey my thoughts on the page.....to assembled words into coherent sentences. I'm not talking about the content you may have read here on JU.

I've posted a few stories on a favorite website. They were highly-rated by the readers, and have recieved quite a bit of positive reader feedback on them.
But those people often are not writers, just people reading the stories. Also, I've seen some of the lame, poorly-expressed drivel they post, and.....I hope my stories aren't like that.

There are quite a few writers here that I respect. If I get positive comments from you, I may proceed with my attempt. If not, well, we'll see.

But don't be nice! If you think I'm a talentless dork, please say so. You won't be helping me otherwise.

You write very well, RW, and I've been much amused by your parodies and such.

Any chance for a link to those stories you've posted elsewhere?

Actually, two are posted here. Well, one, really; a story and a sequel. But I'll give you the link.
It's a horror site; "zombie" stuff in homage to George Romero's "Living Dead" films. As such, it's all fan fiction and thus a little derivative.
I tried to base my stories loosely in that universe, but to try and go my own way.
They've also recently started taking general horror, too, now.

When the page comes up, just click on the "fiction" tab at the top and do what it tells you.
The name of the story you'll see first is "Unusual Punishment" (the most recently-posted, and so the first you'll come to).
It's a short story dealing with The Punisher and a few zombified mobsters. It'll have links to the others. They're a lot more original and complex.

I hope you like them.
Please rate them when you read them (and once again: don't be nice), and send me comments.

I'd like to know it's you commenting, too, please.

I will read this in the morning and then comment. understand that I am corrupted by a full education of Contemporary writing that I had to throw out when I realized that teachers (at least the literature ones) did not know shit. But I do read, so I will comment and you decide. Not tonight. I am in a shitty mood!
