And thus, does the Quest continue; Hawaii’s brand-spankin’-new governor, Democrat Neil Abercrombie, pledged to bring a swift and decisive end to the stale, virtually-abandoned Obama birth certificate debate. He dredged it back up for purely political reasons, fearing the issue may somehow affect Obama’s chances in 2012, saying that it could present "political implications that we simply cannot have.” I can’t see how; after all, he was elected, without it, ...

I have been informed, many times, that my personal opinions and fears over the Obama Method of Government are just idiotic. That my views are meaningless, next to people from other nations, who may have a better persepective on the ways and means of his ideas of Change and Hope. The link will take you to a letter in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. Its relatively short, but I found it rather illuminating.

1.       We’re a big country. (That grows lots and lots of food, and makes lots and lots of medicines and emergeny supplies, all of which we frequently send to other countries, free of charge)   2.       We eat too much food and are the fattest country in the world.      (See above...how sad to live in such a successful nation, where obesity is considered a disease of the very poor) ...

As many of you probably know, the economic G20 Summit is being held in Pittsburgh, PA, this time. I live about a hour west of there. I understand that the ‘Burgh was something of a second-string city; Chicago and New York, among other cities, turned it down. I can see why; this thing is clearly more trouble than it’s worth, despite the positive assurances of Pittsburgh’s “Boy Mayor”, Luke Ravenstahl, that it would add to the prestige of the area. "I...

With the new media furor over the Swine Flu pandemic beginning its first stirrings, Kathleen Sebelius, Health and Human Services Czar (heh-heh), says that, if we must, we should sneeze or cough into the crooks of our arms. Eeew; now, I remember, when I was a kid, my mom used to yell at me for doing that; and for wiping snot on my sleeve, too, which isn't really all that much different, now is it? How about this: how about we all get radical, and start carrying hank...

I recently found myself in a rather odd situation; that is, actually agreeing with a Democratic Senator. That’s right…..and it felt strange. My world was upside down; I felt as if I was going a little crazy. But no..... I actually agreed with Sen. Robert Byrd, when he said that Obama appointing “czars” of health reform, urban affairs policy, and energy and climate change would amount to a “power grab” by the Executive Branch. Byrd said that such positions...

So the octuplet mom now has 14 kids. or, perhaps I should say, the people of California now have 8 more. Now, I have little doubt that most people would call it just a tad unethical, and in some places illegal, for any doctor to implant that many embryos at one time, in a woman who can't afford the 6 she already has. It's one thing to HAVE 8 kids at one time; that can't be helped, if nature takes that course.  But to have 8 embryos IMPLANTED?    &nbs...

As a kind of corollary to my last post, Check this out: http://news.aol.com/article/people-igno ... eet/325776 Wow...and here, all this time, I thought that Obama's ascension to the Throne and its accompanying do-gooder vibe was supposed to suddenly make us all care about each other, and help each other, and want to stand around holding hands, singing "Kum ba Yah"...and here, we have this. What went wrong? And gosh! It happened in DC! Right from where the awesome power of O...

From patriotpost.com: PATRIOT PERSPECTIVE Ushering in the error of Obama By Mark Alexander The inauguration-ordination-coronation of Barack Obama on Tuesday was heralded by his fawning media as nothing less than a "messianic" revival, with endless inaugural balls and star-studded celebrations on either end. Strange, but I seem to recall that the Leftmedia skewered George W. Bush for spending almost $40 million on his first inauguration, proclaiming the events to be "grotesque" a...

Well, okay....maybe that subtitle is somewhat premature. Hamas' leadership has declared itself the victor in the recent clash, pointing out that, despite Israel's more successful attacks and the resulting body count, they failed to acheive their goals. They said that historians for generations to come will long be writing of this great victory. Thing is, the same kinds of people who laughed when Nixon declared victory in Vietnam will undoubtedly nod their heads in agreement with this one. ...

Hey, folks.... I'm planning a flag rally for my area; the target date is Saturday, September 1st, from 10am-1pm. If anyone in this general area might like to attend, the site will be the corner of Colliers Way and Pennsylvania Avenue, in Weirton, WV, in front of the Rite Aid drug store. That's a very, very busy intersection, right off Interstate 22, and perfect for this type of thing. Anyone who doesn't know what a flag rally is....it's kind of a "Honk if you love America" thing. It's simp...

I copied this from a post on the "Gathering of Eagles" website. It's a very thought-provoking story.----RW The following is a must read for every freedom loving American. If you do not believe that our way of life is threatened by radical Islam, or even if you do believe, you must read this: December 7, 2008 By Raymond S. Kraft December 7, 2008, began inauspiciously. At 0753 at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, the attack that had triggered America's entry into World War II, sixty-seven ...

Tim Johnson, Democrat Senator from South Dakota, has been out of action for what, nigh on to 6 months, now? He had his bad stroke shortly after the Democrat victory in November and, despite continuing party assurances that he's fine and dandy and reviewing legislation, no one has seen him since. Whispers have recently surfaced, from the people caring for him, that he's in an unresponsive state. SD has a Republican governor, whose job it is to replace Johnson if he can't fulfill his obligations...

Now that I want them, I can't find these posts, or even the article, which may have been deleted. Sorry... I was on here somewhere a while back, and left a comment about Iranian weapons, fresh out of the factory, having been captured in Iraq, provided by the Iranians to the insurgency. Someone doubted the veracity of my statement, and smugly asked me to provide a link. In the time between my log ons, drmiler kindly provided said link, which took the user to the ABC News site, which had the...

You know…..I used to like E.R.; it was always a quality show, well-written and with good acting and production values. It was never my favorite show by any stretch, but it was the kind of show I could watch with my wife, who loves it, and more or less enjoy. I used to watch it every week, but due to pressures of work and the intrusion of just general life, I slacked off over the years. I watched it, but infrequently. Thursday night, however, I said goodbye to E.R., and couldn’t care less ...
